TEHRAN - Iranian film director Davoud Mir-Baqeri is to be honored at the Third Truth Cinema Festival.

Mir-Baqeri began his artistic works in playwright and film directing.

His "Ashkhabad" was one of the best plays warmly received by the audience.

He has in the past directed the films Snowman, Ra'na, Passenger of Rey and the unforgettable TV series of Imam Ali (AS).

The Third Truth Cinema Festival opens in Yazd Province on September 25 and is sponsored by Yazd Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance as well as Farabi Cinema Foundation and the governor of the province.
